This Is How 'Black Panther' Made Me Feel
Sometimes words don't do it justice. I've tried to capture all of my feelings about how moving, relevant, important, and powerful 'Black Panther' is as a piece of art. But I can't seem to do that without crying or just sitting there in utter shock about what I witnessed. (Side note: read this review of the movie that is so good I wish I wrote it). Instead of wasting your time rambling through a review of a movie that is almost too perfect to dumb down into a one page review, I will just give you a visual of how 'Black Panther' made me feel:
I legit felt like a powerful, strong, unstoppable lioness walking out of the theater. And that alone means the movie was a success. I can't be the only one who is walking a little taller after having seen myself reflected on that movie screen in such an accurate, uplifting, complex and beautiful way.
And because Okoye is the diva I think I am in my head, here's another one that sums up how she handled her love, W'Kabi in the most BOSS way possible...
