#RetirementGoals: Amalfi Coast
I believe in beginning with the end in mind. In that spirit, I entered into my career with a plan for what to do in the end times. I took an impromptu trip to the Amalfi Coast in Italy during my junior year in college and man did it change my life! The colors, the people, the flavors, the scenery - everything captivated a part of my soul and has not yet let go.
While sipping limoncello lemonade and sitting on a cobblestone ledge overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, I knew that at some point in life I would like to own a small pied-à-terre somewhere in Positano or nearby with easy access to the water, a restaurant that sells fresh pasta, and a gelato shop. I have no clue whether someplace like this actually exists, but I keep this vision in mind on a daily basis. It propels me to work harder and make smart decisions that will help make this dream a reality. Regardless of whether I make the leap when the time comes, it's at least fun and motivating to keep this vision at the forefront of my mind.
