Monday Obsessions: Groceries, Antioxidant Cocktails and Beating Burnout

Monday Obsessions: Groceries, Antioxidant Cocktails and Beating Burnout

Hey folks!  I hope you are having a fabulous Monday.  I know I am - I am currently living it up in New Orleans doing Mardi-Gras things.  Luckily for me, today's Monday Obsessions include something to help me detox as I retox!  Enjoy these finds and I hope you find some inspiration for a Monday morning!

Obsession #1: Trader Joe's.  How is it possible that I did not know about this place sooner? Houston is slowly becoming saturated with the brand of stores geared at adding more value to customers by direct buying from suppliers as opposed to using a middle man.  I have shaved off 25% of our monthly budget by shopping here.  I love the unique finds such as the quinoa oatmeal and the addictive plantain chips, but I also appreciate their effort to bring more fish and turkey options to customers looking to stick to meal plans (like me!).  Check out this awesome article from Business Insider about the most popular items at Trader Joes based on 2016 data.

Obsession #2:  Healthy Cocktails.  Want to drink to your health?  Check out these incredible cocktail recipes developed by a top Los Angeles health-food chef if you are looking for a way to  have your cocktails and gain some serious health benefits.  I don't know about you, but I'm feeling the need to plan a brunch NOW just to try out these fantastic drinks!  Who knew that antioxidants could be built into your favorite spirit!

Obsession #3: Battling Burnout.  If it's something we can all use, it's advice on how to conquer burnout of any kind.  We are a world obsessed with the "to-do" list which means that we so often find ourselves at our wits end.  Here is an article that I have bookmarked and refer to weekly when I feel overwhelmed and need to level set and get organized.

Here's to a great week!  Go forth and be prosperous!
